The part of my post towards you was rhetorical (see above rules of the thread) so I'll accept your apology in advance.

You are forgiven.

I know the rules, thats why I stopped posting. I am sorry.

I hate the fact that I can't think of more things I hate (if anything I find most things midly annoying. Now thats a revelation.)

Ahem. That's "I'm sorry, Mistress" to you. (Sit up straight and don't look her in the eyes.)

I hope I didn't go overboard here. My apologies for my part in the hijack. I tried to keep to topic, but I get riled when people pass off poor logic to support their arguements. I don't really care, necessarily, what they believe, but I hate it when they use bad logic to promote it as fact.

There. That's another pet hate for me.

And tell me, who on this thread CAN look Mistress in the eyes and not wither under her gaze? (Only males need reply... unless one (or more) of you gals happen to *ahem* agree.)

I can look Mistress in the eyes so long as she isn't Medusa in disguise.

New Pet "Hate": People telling me to shave when it is really none of their business what I do with my face.

That's a damn good point, I hate it when someone I'm talking to stops conversation just to say "You really need to shave", honestly maybe I don't like the fact that they're wearing a pink shirt, or that they cut their hair, but you don't hear me bitching about it.

me too! just because i choose the female char with the biggest boobs to play with doesn't mean i'm a guy... and just cuz i'm playing a game doesn't mean i'm fat n' ugly!

I could never be Medusa. Medusa got where she did through arrogance and I hope I don't come across as arrogant. Aggressive.. yes, that's alright But arrogant..? Bah

It drives me nuts when I hear people misapply the word, "statistic."
e.g. "If you're not careful you'll end up a statistic."
That's worse than using the word "quantum" to mean something large - (It's actually a very small, discrete increment.... not a large one).

Oh! Oh! Me next!

I hate it when people misuse the word "literal." As in, "He freaked me out so bad, I literally died right there!"

"So, your a zombie then, right? And as a member of the living human race I am obliged to shoot you in the chest with a shotgun. You don't have a problem with that, do you?"

I also hate it when people spell out the word "to" instead of "too" (as in "also").

When people whine about a problem, but refuse to get off their butt and do something about it.

They're and their and there. I'm not a grammer/spelling zealot, but I find that the more often I read misspelled words, the more often I will make a spelling mistake - although I usually catch them in time

This annoys me too. (hehe) I have trouble with grammer, but, with using the word "too" for me I always think: "can I use also in place of it?"

Quote:

This annoys me even more. I really get upset at myself when I read a post of mine back and see that I messed these up. "Their" is hard for me. I ALWAYS want to put the "I before E except after C" rule in place. As for "They're" I never use it. Same amount of key strokes for They're as it is for They are.

What can be the most annoying thing to me is general bad grammer. Where people don't even try to clean it up some. I can understand not knowing all the rules of grammer. I sure do not know them all. When people start out a sentance with out using capital letters irritates me. When people do not even TRY to spell correctly, makes me angry. It is not worth trying to figure out their point. I can accept the typ0s, but to just write posts as lazy as you can does not earn any respect from me for their position on anything.

One more thing. When people do not break up their points with a paragraph. I look at that long, long post and I say to myself,"I don't want to read that, too much work". I will out of ignorance make a new paragraph. If I even think that I am dragging too many points in one paragraph I will just make another one.

EDIT: This forum really needs a SPELLCHECKER fuction. They seem to have every other fuction in the advanced menu, why not a SPELLCHECKER?

oh yes a spell checker function would be sooo handy! i can't spell very well (everyone's probably noticed...) it's not that i don't try to get it right, it's just that it looks right so i don't think otherwise... with a spellcheck function i could just press it before i send a message and ta dar!

pet hate - when people say they wana do something for such a reason, and the real reason is totally diffrent but they didn't use it because... well i don't know why! it's just stupid! grr...

The only thing worse than encountering gross spelling/grammatical errors (e.g. their/they're/there, to/too, etc...) is encountering more than one in a sentence. Sometimes you just don't want to read the rest for all the headaches....

Default That time of year is coming for the Northern Hemisphere....

Yes...it is called WINTER.

One of my biggest pet peeves in the winter is when people go to the gas station and fill up...while during that time of filling up they leave there cars running.

It is one of the stoopidest and rudest things people can do. I myself before I leave for work go outside and start my car. I let it warm up. For one it is good for the engine and two it is warm when I get ready to go.

But no, some people are sooo busy they can not think of others and pull up to the pumps leave their cars running. I have noticed it is usually people with poorly maintained cars to begin with. You know...the ones that burn oil and stink up the place.

Another peeve of mine is when people can't take the few minutes to clean off the snow off their cars either. They are driving down the freeway making a small blizzard with the snow dust trailing off the back of their cars. Also their rear lights are covered so you can't see when they are applying the brakes. What will happen is when they brake right in front of you and you can't see their brake lights ...Bamm...you hit them...and guess what? Your impact will knock the snow off and then YOU get the citation for rear ending the Richard Cranium.
